Void nocturn4/20/2023 ![]() Eventually, you will find a way to beat the taint causing mechanics. There will be an amulet you can make that will take durability damage to prevent the chunk tainting effect, and later on in the pack you'll be able to make a block to protect an area. Additionally, this effect does not occur at all in your spectral realm. To combat this, chunkloading is free with ftbu, so you're encouraged to adopt a nomadic playstyle, chunkloading important stuff that you come back to every once in a while to check on your crops/bees etc. Once the corruption has set it, it can be VERY difficult to stop. If it reaches a specified maximum threshold then it will convert the biome itself into defiled lands which will begin to spread to nearby blocks and chunks converting their biomes into defiled lands as well. In addition to that my mod looks at the chunk’s flux value, and once it is high enough it will begin to defile blocks and convert them to defiled lands as well as give permanent warp. It will not taint faster if multiple players are present. ![]() When it reaches zero it increases the flux of the chunk and adds 1 temporary warp to each player within that chunk’s boundaries. ![]() Some key points of interest for the pack:ġ) The pack has dynamic weather set to hardmode so, hurricanes, tornadoes, waterspouts etc.Ģ) There are very hard monsters that will progress in difficulty as you progressģ) The pack is HEAVILY magic focused, you will not get tech recipe unlocks until mid to late game after you have discovered the blocks/items in the world and researched themĤ) Astral sorcery research is fully unlocked from the startĥ) Thaumcraft Research is very quick in this packĦ) My custom mod Nocturnal adds some new mechanics to the game first I add new capability data to chunks which is set to 300 and decreases by a random amount whenever a player is in the chunk. You’ll receive the key to it at the start of your game. Only a small spectral realm will be immune to your corrupting effects. From there the realms of the twilight, the bizarre future tech worlds of Areiente, the deep dark, the end and beyond that the void realms. From here you will progress into the nether realm, then the nightmare lands, next the abyssal lands and then into an untouched world where you risk spreading your corruption. Only you and the remnants of your dark magic to try and make sense of the world. There is nothing left there no ore, no wildlife, no monsters. Initially, Nocturne throws you into a world that is frozen over and eternally night. As you progress through the questbook more of the lore behind the setting will be revealed to you. Most wildlife has fled the vicinity or died off in this dark desolate land. ![]() The air will grow colder, eldritch echoes from beyond whisper into your ears, even the earth itself slowly corrodes into defilement wherever you step. One thing is certain: wherever you go, madness follows. How and why you’ve awoken in this vast emptiness is not immediately apparent. FTB Nocturne immerses you in a world of unending night surrounded by frozen wastelands. ![]()
